BBA Advisors announced as top UK Blockchain Influencers by All-Party Parliamentary Group
The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Blockchain (APPG Blockchain) has systematised the UK’s blockchain industry for the first time, announcing the UKs top blockchain influencers.
Of the 40 named in their recently published ‘Blockchain Industry Landscape Overview’ Report, 7 are Advisors of the British Blockchain Association (BBA).
Dr Naseem Naqvi, co-founder of the BBA, said, “As members of the APPG Blockchain we are delighted to see that so many of our advisors, and members, have been recognised as top influencers in the UK. It demonstrates how effective our executive team are and shows the value that the BBA can have for our members and the blockchain community as a whole.”
The APPG Blockchain group and the BBA share similar goals — to ensure that industry and society benefit from the full potential of blockchain and other distributed ledger technologies (DLT) making the UK a leader in Blockchain/DLT’s innovation and implementation.
Launched at the most recent APPG Blockchain meeting, held on Monday 16th July, the report suggests that the UK has the resources, the expertise and the industrial and governmental drive, to become the global hub for blockchain technology but needs to marshal the collective resources across industry, government, academia and thought leadership to achieve this exciting opportunity.
With the Journal of the British Blockchain Association (JBBA), Europe’s first peer reviewed journal dedicated to blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, and the recent announcement of their International Scientific Conference, the BBA are ideally placed to achieve this.
“We are already uniting academics and delivering ground breaking research through the JBBA which will give the UK a solid research base to draw conclusive evidence of blockchain technology. Our International Scientific Conference will build on this and with our growing network of members we will continue to support the APPG Blockchain group helping to make the UK a global hub for blockchain technology.”
The BBA has multiple memberships available to support those in the blockchain space including memberships available for all organisations, educational establishments professionals and students. Being part of the BBA grants members access to cutting-edge research, knowledge and learning resources and opens the door to our global community.
